How much coverage can I apply for?

If you’re an NSPE member, under age 60, a resident of the United States (excluding FL, NC, VT, WA, and territories; not intended for residents of New Mexico), Puerto Rico, or Canada (excluding Quebec), you’re eligible to apply for a Principal Sum of $50,000 through $250,000, in $50,000 increments of NSPE Group AD&D Insurance.

How long does the application process take? When will my coverage become effective?

This is guarantee issue coverage. Group AD&D Insurance requires no underwriting and is often processed quickly.

How do I calculate my rate?

Premium contributions are based on the member’s age at their last birthday. Premiums may periodically increase on plans to reflect plan utilization and ensure their financial stability.

What if I have second thoughts after I apply?

When you become insured, you will be sent a Certificate of Insurance summarizing your benefits under the plan. If you are not completely satisfied with the terms of your Certificate of Insurance, you may return it, without claim, within 30 days. Your coverage will be invalidated—no questions asked!

The NSPE AD&D Plan is underwritten by New York Life Insurance Company, 51 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10010 under Group Policy No. GMR/G-30220-0/FACE.
